Incredible Attendance at Digital Marketing Event

On 25th February 2015 I delivered the DIY Digital Marketing Seminar in Shrewsbury to well over 50 delegates. The venue was the Shropshire Conference Centre in Shrewsbury.

To be honest I was a little daunted by the impressive Dunwoodie Theatre which seats up to 200 people. I was worried that I felt like I was presenting behind a pulpit. Not being a priest-like presenter, preferring to demonstrate and illustrate rather than preach, I was concerned that my voice would not carry or I would feel distanced from the delegates. I do however, love to convert businesses in the congregation…. to effective digital marketing!

I need not have worried, the acoustics were fantastic, evidenced by me whispering to one of my team at the back that I needed water, which was delivered shortly afterwards!

As ever, I tried to cram in too many tips and tricks and information. I do get enthusiastic and love to bring up a delegate website and critique it on the spot. This into my tight timescales and inevitably I ran over by 5 minutes or maybe a little more. Covering over a dozen subjects for those at every level, including Web Developers and those just starting out in digital marketing was challenging to do in just under 3 hours.

Still, evaluations were all good to excellent (with the majority excellent) and I have had so many lovely emails since thanking me for inspiring them and giving them a new energy and ideas to drive their business forwards. All in all, it was an incredibly successful event and a suitable celebration of the opening of our new office in Shrewsbury, to assist in serving our current and new clients in the Midlands. We will run more similar events this year…..watch this space….
